The HortiQD consortium gathered in Turin on 27 and 28 May 2026 for its General Assembly, hosted by project partner Agrion. The meeting brought together representatives from across the consortium for a full day of progress review, strategic alignment and discussion on the project’s final phase.

The General Assembly provided the opportunity to take stock of results achieved to date and to plan the upcoming activities that will mark the conclusion of the project. Significant milestones lie ahead, and the consortium leaves Turin with a clear and ambitious roadmap for the months to come.

The day also included a series of visits that offered a concrete look at the agricultural and research environment in which HortiQD operates. Participants toured the Agrion laboratories, where research on plant health, precision farming and crop quality is carried out, as well as the surrounding orchards, which provide a direct connection to the field conditions the HortiQD system is designed to address.

The consortium then visited the production and quality control facilities of Rivoira, one of the project’s end-user partners and a large-scale apple producer. Walking through the facility, from water lines and sorting rollers to robotic packaging systems, offered a vivid reminder of the industrial reality that HortiQD aims to make smarter, more sustainable and more efficient.

HortiQD is entering its final stretch. Stay tuned for the events, results and announcements that will follow in the coming months.
