Our partner Bioobst Görnitz has found a creative way to bring HortiQD closer to the people who pass by its orchard every day.

The project posters we prepared for them are now on display in three places: along the Elbe Cycle Path, on the company’s orchard, and in its farm shop. Anyone cycling, walking or shopping nearby can stop, read, and discover more about the project if they are curious.

It is a simple idea with a clear purpose: taking science out of the lab and placing it where agriculture actually happens. Cyclists, local residents and customers of the shop are not the usual audience of a Horizon Europe project, yet they are exactly the people who care about how our food is grown and how pesticide use can be reduced.

Initiatives like this show how partners can contribute to the dissemination of HortiQD in ways that fit their own environment and their own community. We thank the team at Bioobst Görnitz for their initiative and for sending us the pictures.
