On June 3–4, the HortiQD consortium held its General Assembly in Warsaw and Skierniewice, Poland. Two days full of collaboration, discoveries, and meaningful discussions about the project’s future.

The first day took place in Warsaw, where partners reviewed project progress across all work packages and aligned on the next steps. From advancements in quantum dot technologies to early prototypes for horticultural sensing, the meeting fostered valuable exchanges and strengthened our collective vision.

On the second day, we were hosted by our partner Instytut Ogrodnictwa – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (InHort) in Skierniewice. Dr. Paweł Konopacki introduced us to the institute’s extensive work in agriculture and horticulture, with a particular focus on food safety, fruit quality, and sustainable practices.

We had the privilege to visit InHort’s research laboratories and take a guided tour of their experimental orchard, where we observed the care and innovation behind the cultivation and monitoring of apple trees. Seeing these efforts firsthand grounded our technical ambitions in the reality of applied agriculture.

The assembly ended with renewed enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose and, of course, a wonderful group photo to remember our time together.
